Walking is an excellent way to improve your health and well-being for all ages. Its free its great exercise and it gets you out in the fresh air. Walking can also a very social activity ideal for the family and friends and a fun easy way to loss weight too! 


It is recommended that we get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day, but only a few of us are achieving this at all. We spend the majority of our days sitting in our office, or at the computer or in front of the TV. It is time to start making an effort to exercise a little every day and walking is one of the easiest ways to do so. Let's look at three different reasons why walking for health is a good idea.

Walking - So Easy to Do

A major reason why walking for health is so popular is that it is easy and simple to do. You do not need any equipment other than a pair of comfortable shoes. You can walk virtually anywhere, just get yourself up from that chair and walk. Wherever you are, you can go for a walk in the neighbourhood, the local park or the shopping centre
anywhere.

There are no techniques required nothing to learn. You already know how to walk. It's just a matter of getting out there and for you make a habit of walking for 30 minutes to an hour each day. You can walk in the morning, during part of the lunch hour or after dinner. It is easy to adapt a workout, walk through the day. Try walking
to the office or local shops just leave the car behind and go for it.

Unlike some other sports and cardiovascular training, walking is a low impact form of exercise. Almost anyone can start walking. If you have not exercised for sometime, ask your doctor if this would be alright for you. Walking is easy on your knees and joints. It is a very gentle form of exercise. While your legs may get a little tired, if you're not used to walking, that's about the only discomfort walking will give you.

You may think that walking only works the leg muscles, but this is not true. Walking can work every major muscle in your body. The core muscles help us to maintain balance while we are walking. You can work your abs as you walk more by sucking in your stomach. Swing your arms backwards, using some walking sticks or make some small weights to the workout of your arm and shoulder muscles while you walk. While walking every muscle of our body moves and this inturn improves blood circulation

Walking really is helpful in natural weight loss. You will be surprised to know that just thirty minutes of quick walking everyday is very beneficial for your health and also helps in rapid weight loss. Walking is also helpful in preventing other diseases like heart problems, diabetes, hypertension, depression, respiratory problems and back pain. It also improves the body’s metabolism keeping us refreshed and mentally fit too.
